Description

Neil Duff, 1907. Free classical. 4 storeys and attic. 3 main tripartite bays arranged 1-1-1 with central recessed, bowed bay. Ashlar, channelled at 1st floor.

Roman Ionic pilastraded ground floor, central entrance, columned doorpiece, broken segmental pediment, later canopy. Carved timber frieze and pediment in entrance to left flanked by timber anta columns.

1st floor windows upper leaded T-pane lights, with pilaster mullions; 1st floor cornice. 2nd floor cill band; anta mullioned, segmentally pedimented outer bays, 3 central segmentally pedimented windows. Bracketted cill band to 3rd floor windows.

Plain frieze, dentil band, pierced parapet. Architraved, pedimented dormers, 1 in outer bays, 2 in centre. Pavilion slate roofs over outer bays, semi-circular hipped roof over centre. End and central stacks.

Interior: includes elliptically arcaded vestibule screen.

Corniced coffered entrance hall.
