120, 122, 124, 126 West Nile Street, Glasgow

This building, located at 110, 112, 114, 116, and 118 West Nile Street in Glasgow, dates from around 1830 and is a four-storey classical tenement block situated on a corner site. The ground floor features modern shops, while the upper floors consist of three sets of twelve bays. The elevation facing West Nile Street is arranged in a stepped manner, with five to seven bays that adjust to the slope of the street. The fourth bay from the south on West Nile Street is blind at the first floor and blank above. The building is constructed of ashlar stone, which is partially painted. All windows are sash and case with 12-pane glazing, primarily in the northern block. The architraves of the windows drop down to the ground floor cornice at the first floor, and the first-floor windows are corniced. The second-floor windows in the three by five bay northern block are architraved. The building features parapetted wallhead stacks that have been reduced towards Bath Street, while the stacks facing West Nile Street are corniced.
