Commercial Hotel, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 Bath Street, Glasgow

The Commercial Hotel, located at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 Bath Street in Glasgow, dates from around 1830. This four-storey tenement features an Edwardian public house front and is situated on a corner site, comprising five bays across and five bays deep. The second bay from the south on Buchanan Street is blind on the first floor. The building is constructed of painted ashlar and includes a cornice at the ground floor. It has T-pane casement glazing, with the first floor featuring consoled, pediment windows set within architraves. The second-floor windows are positioned on a moulded cill band and have simple architraves, while the third-floor windows are plain and set on a cill band. The building is topped with an eaves cornice, and there is a wallhead stack on Buchanan Street that has been built up in brick.
