Description

Circa 1843, 4-storey tenement, 11 x 5 bays. Polished

ashlar. Plinth. All windows sash and case in architraves,

mainly 12-pane glazing.

ELEVATION TO ROSE STREET: bays arranged 4-7, stepped in

slope. 3-bay centre of S section advanced. 2nd bay from

N blind. Block pedimented close entrances at Nos 52 and

  1. Ground floor cornice band. 1st floor windows

pedimented with consoles in E section and in 3-bay centre

of S section. Main cornice, blocking course. Wallhead

stack (reduced). End stacks.

ELEVATION TO BUCCLEUCH STREET: central block pedimented

close entrance. 1st bay from W blind, 3rd bay from N

blind at upper floors. Detailing as Rose Street, N section.
