Victoria Baths, 106 West Nile Street, Glasgow

Victoria Baths, located at 106 West Nile Street in Glasgow, was designed by James Smith in 1837. This building features two storeys and a basement, with a six-bay arrangement that follows a 1-4-1 pattern, where the outer bays are advanced. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar with a graduated plinth.

The central entrance is marked by a boldly projecting arch supported by corniced brackets. The ground floor windows are set in architraves with arched casements, while the first floor features sash and case windows. To the right of the entrance, there is one plain basement window. A cill band runs along the ground floor, and a plain entablature is present above it.

The first floor includes Corinthian pilastered full-height aedicules in the outer bays, which are pedimented and topped with acroteria that support anthemion with scrolls. The central bays are divided by coupled pilasters, and there are aprons on the first floor. The central bays also feature a pierced die parapet.
