Description

Comprises:-

(1) The Weigh House ('The Jougs') 17th century. Small

single-storey and laigh floor (full 2-storey at back) 1 door

1 window rubble and stone slate, scrolled skewputts; overdoor

panel depicting scales and superscribed 'God bless the just';

by the door hangs a pair of jougs.

(2) Pair of cottages to south of above, single-storey to

front, 2-storey to back; northern house 2-window and centre

door with (re-used) 17 AB MB 10 lintel, rubble with margins;

southern house 3-window and door (between 1st and 2nd) rubble

with droved dressings, lean-to at gable; open lean-to pentice

along rear elevation of both buildings (modern

reconstruction); pantiled throughout.
