4 High Street, Leven

4 High Street in Leven is a mid to later 19th century building that has been altered at the ground level. It is a three-storey structure with an attic and features four bays, housing a small tenement above a shop. The exterior is made of stugged ashlar, which is partly painted, and includes stone cills and an eaves course.

On the southeast elevation facing High Street, there are modern shops at the ground level, with a chamfered angle on the outer right. Above, there are four windows on each floor, with the first-floor windows in bays one, two, and three featuring decorative cast-iron balconies. The attic has three rounded dormer windows that are slated.

The windows include a mix of four-pane and twelve-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case style, while the first-floor outer right and dormers have fixed plate glass glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with some chimney cans, along with ashlar-coped skews.
