Description

93 and 93A Kinghorn Road in Burntisland is an early 19th-century, two-storey house with an attic, originally built as a three-bay classical terrace and now converted into flats. The exterior features droved ashlar stone with raised margins, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course, along with window and doorhead cornices on the ground floor.

On the south elevation, the entrance has a deep-set door with a plate glass fanlight and flanking windows, while the first floor has regular windows. Above, there is a rooflight with a smaller adjacent rooflight to the right, and splayed piend-roofed dormer windows on both sides.

The north elevation has its ground floor obscured. It features a central stair window with a window to the left and an altered window to the right, which has been changed to a small window with a further window and a glazed door adjacent to it on the outer right. A large rooflight is positioned above the centre.

The rear of the building has plate glass glazing with a 12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows, except for modern top-opening windows on the west side. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with cans and ashlar coped skews.

The property is enclosed by boundary walls, including a low saddleback-coped wall to the south and coped rubble walls to the north, east, and west.
