Description

Late 18th-early 19th century with additions and alterations. Terrace comprising pair of single storey 3-bay cottages with early single bay addition to E; later additions to rear (N). Harled with painted ashlar dressings. Architraved openings to principal (S) elevation (architraves to Ingleside droved). Coped gables (skews to E of Ingleneuk harled; those to W of Ingleside unpainted ashlar).

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical arrangement to each cottage; central entrance with flanking windows; boarded timber door to Ingleneuk; late 20th century part-glazed timber door to Ingleside. Window single bay addition to outer right (Ingleneuk).

E and W ELEVATIONS: blank gable ends.

N ELEVATION: substantial later additions to both cottages.

4-pane timber sash and case windows to principal (S) elevation. Red pantiled roofs (that to Ingleneuk has been replaced late 20th century); grey slate easing course. Gablehead stacks to either end of original terrace; one to E of E addition; central ridge stack; those to either side of Ingleside coped ashlar; those to E of Ingleneuk harled with repacement coping; round cans.
