Ingleneuk, Pattiesmuir

Ingleneuk is a pair of single-storey, three-bay cottages located in Pattiesmuir, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century, with some additions and alterations. The cottages are harled with painted ashlar dressings. The principal (south) elevation features architraved openings, with the architraves on Ingleside being droved. The gables are coped, with the eastern gable of Ingleneuk being harled and the western gable of Ingleside made of unpainted ashlar.

On the south elevation, each cottage has a symmetrical arrangement, with a central entrance flanked by windows. Ingleneuk has a boarded timber door, while Ingleside features a late 20th-century part-glazed timber door. There is a single bay addition to the outer right of Ingleneuk.

The east and west elevations have blank gable ends, while the north elevation has substantial later additions to both cottages.

The principal elevation has four-pane timber sash and case windows. The roofs are red pantiled, with the roof of Ingleneuk being replaced in the late 20th century, and a grey slate easing course. There are gablehead stacks at either end of the original terrace, one at the east of the eastern addition, and a central ridge stack. The stacks on either side of Ingleside are made of coped ashlar, while those to the east of Ingleneuk are harled with replacement coping and round cans.
