Description
Kincraig is a 1937, two-storey villa with a tower, designed in the Modern Movement style. It features flat roofs and curved angles, with a harled exterior complemented by concrete dressings, cills, and lintels.
On the east elevation, there is an advanced bay to the left of the centre, showcasing tripartite windows on both floors set at a curved angle. To the outer left, a corbelled wallhead stack is flanked by a stepped wallhead and iron railings. The flat-roofed porch has a panelled door with splayed reveals and a small window on the return to the right in the re-entrant angle to the centre, with a stair window above. The tower to the right includes a small window at ground level and a horizontal window on the upper level.
The south elevation features a curved angle with similar fenestration to the outer right bay, a bipartite window at the centre on each floor, and a flat-roofed quadripartite bow window to the left at ground level, with a tripartite window above. There is a stepped wallhead with railings and a door leading to the tower.
On the north elevation, the tower is to the left, showcasing a stair window and a small horizontal window on the upper level. The right side has asymmetrical fenestration with single and two-storey bays.
The west elevation includes a window in two bays to the right and a projecting single-storey bay to the left, along with an additional horizontal window on the upper level of the tower.
The villa retains its original lying-pane, small-pane, and margined glazing patterns in metal windows throughout. It features coped, harled stacks with cans and decorative cast-iron downpipes with rainwater hoppers.
