Description
West Gate, located on Standing Stane Road in Boreland, is an earlier 19th-century structure that served as the former West Gate to Wemyss Castle. It features square-section ashlar gatepiers topped with a cornice and flat coping. The gatepiers are flanked by curved walls made of ashlar-coped sandstone rubble, along with outer piers.
