Warehouse, Lawson Street, Kirkcaldy

This building is a former linen works, constructed in the later 19th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure with a rectangular plan and a piend roof. The exterior features bull-faced, squared and snecked rubble with ashlar quoins, along with base and eaves courses. The windows have stone mullions and stop-chamfered arrises.

On the south elevation, which is the principal facade, the design is symmetrical. There is a central doorcase that is pedimented and pilastered, with a moulded stone above it that reads 'HAWKLYMUIR FACTORY'. Flanking this door are windows on each floor. A truncated, shouldered wallhead stack is positioned over the central bay.

The east elevation consists of ten bays. It features pedimented and pilastered doorcases at the second and sixth bays on the ground floor, while all other bays contain bipartite windows. There is a shouldered, coped ashlar wallhead stack at the outer left.

Currently, all openings are blocked. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks.
