Description
Min-yr-Afon is a former woollen factory built in the late 19th century. It consists of a long, two-storey range constructed from rubble stone, featuring yellow brick dressings and heads above the openings. The building mainly has 12-pane casement windows with tilting 3-pane upper sections, all set beneath cambered heads. The roofs are pitched, gabled, and slated.
The factory has long sides with eight bays, and on the northern side, there is a wide, central boarded timber door at ground level. The southern side features a large loading bay in the attic, which is accessed through boarded timber doors beneath a gablet with slated roofs. The eastern gable end has a boarded timber door, slightly offset to the right of centre, and this door is topped by a small overlight. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane casement windows with swivelling upper 3-panes. The attic storey has a blocked window in the centre, which is now covered with cement render. A plain timber bargeboard and a yellow brick stack are also present.
The building has not been inspected recently, and there is a workshop located in the ground floor to the west.
