Description

The dovecot, dated 1728, is a small, lean-to structure with a single chamber. It is built of rubble, originally harled, with dressed stone margins and features a new pantiled roof with a single row of flight holes positioned halfway down. There are no roof skews. A rat course is stepped on the sides of the building. The door lintel is inscribed with the numbers "17 19 KF 28". The original nesting boxes remain intact. The roof was restored in 1977. The dovecot has group value with Dura House.
