Description
This is a mid-19th century lodge and gate piers forming part of the Dura House estate. The lodge is a single-storey, rectangular building with three bays, a central doorway, and painted droved ashlar exterior. The roof is piended and covered in slate, with a central corniced ashlar stack. A small, later single-storey extension has been added to the rear. The gate piers are tall, circular piers with conical caps. Quadrant walls extend from these piers to matching terminal piers, although the original railings have been removed. The lodge is shown on an Ordnance Survey map from 1856 and is part of a group with Dura House.
