Description

Ark B is a two-storey house dated 1609, featuring harled walls with stone surrounds and a cill course.

On the northeast elevation, the principal entrance is to the right with moulded surrounds, accompanied by a small window to the left and a larger window to the far left, which was originally a door. Above the entrance, there is a small window, and two small windows are present on the first floor. The moulded cill course below these windows extends to the right arris at the eaves. One of the first-floor windows has a lintel inscribed with the initials 'AG IC' and the date '1609'.

The southeast elevation is attached to The Nunnery, while the southwest elevation is partially visible, showing a ground floor opening and three inserted catslide dormer windows on the first floor. The northwest elevation is mostly obscured by the adjacent building, The Ark, but features ground floor windows and catslide dormer windows at the first floor.

The glazing is varied, with a 12-pane timber sash and case window on the ground floor and first-floor windows that have a three-pane upper sash and a six-pane lower sash, also in timber sash and case style. The building has a timber door and a pitched roof covered with clay pantiles, featuring a stack at the northwest gable end and a ridge stack.

The interior was not seen during the assessment in 2001.
