Description
This is a sundial, likely dating from the 1830s, built in a Renaissance style. It stands on a three-step plinth, above which is a corniced, square pedestal supported by four balls. A horizontal dial sits on top. The design is reminiscent of 17th-century sundials at Aberdour House and Pitreavie House. The sundial was not depicted on the first edition Ordnance Survey map sheet for Fife and Kinross (1853-56).
