1-3 Mitchell Street, Kirkcaldy

1-3 Mitchell Street in Kirkcaldy is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house that is part of a terrace to the east. The exterior is harled and features architraved surrounds, along with a corniced doorway.

On the south elevation, there is a modern timber door with a two-part fanlight in the central bay, flanked by windows on either side. The first floor has regular fenestration close to the eaves.

The north elevation includes a round stair tower with a projecting window at the center and additional windows in the flanking bays on each floor.

The west elevation has a window at the outer right on the first floor, accompanied by a broad stack at the gable head.

The windows are made of plate glass with top-opening timber frames. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with polygonal cans and ashlar-coped skews.
