Description
5 Mitchell Street in Kirkcaldy is an early 19th-century, two-storey, four-bay terraced classical tenement. The exterior is finished with harl and features architraved surrounds, along with a corniced doorway.
On the southeast elevation, there is a timber door located to the left of the center, flanked by windows in the adjacent bays, and an elliptical-arched pend on the outer right. The first floor has regular fenestration close to the eaves.
The northeast elevation displays symmetrical fenestration, highlighted by a round stair tower that projects at the center. The windows are fitted with plate glass glazing in top-opening timber frames. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with polygonal cans and ashlar-coped skews.
