Description
32 and 34 St Mary's Road is a late 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay villa designed in a T-plan layout. The building features some round-headed openings and traceried windows. It is harled, with raised ashlar quoins and margins, and includes base and eaves courses along with stone mullions.
On the east elevation, there is an advanced open pedimented gable at the center, which contains a round-headed bipartite stair window and a raised center with a tripartite opening in the gablehead. To the left, there is a panelled timber door with a plate glass fanlight and a window above, while a further door is located on the return to the right. There is a bay to the left of center that has a full-height margin enclosing a window at the ground floor and a basket-arched window with a fluted apron at the first floor, with a similar bay on the right side.
The west elevation features symmetrical fenestration. The south elevation has a window located at the outer right on the first floor, while the north elevation is blank.
The windows are primarily timber sash and case with plate glass glazing, except for the ground right and first floor return to the left on the east elevation and on the west elevation. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are cavetto-coped ashlar wallhead stacks with polygonal cans. The eaves are deeply overhanging and feature plain bargeboarding.
The boundary walls are made of coursed rubble and have semicircular coping.
