Description
Chapel Home Farm is a farmhouse built in the early to earlier 19th century. It is a rectangular-plan structure with one and two storeys and three bays, featuring crowstepped gables. The exterior is constructed from whinstone rubble with dressed margins and includes an eaves lintel course.
The south elevation is symmetrical, with a part-glazed timber door located behind a small lean-to porch at the centre. There are windows in the flanking bays and three windows on the first floor, each topped with a crowstepped dormerhead that breaks the eaves.
On the north elevation, there is a stair window with radial astragals at the centre, which is partially obscured by a single-storey lean-to block that has three windows spanning the ground level.
The east elevation features a window on the outer left at the first floor. The windows throughout the building are timber sash and case with a 4-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with graded grey slates, and there are coped brick stacks with moulded skewputts.
