Description
Dothan Farm House is a classical farmhouse from the earlier to mid 19th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure with a T-plan and a piend roof, finished in harled render with stone margins.
On the south elevation, there are four steps leading up to a panelled timber door that features a small pane fanlight and a scroll-bracketed pediment at the centre. The windows in the flanking bays and the regular arrangement of windows at the first floor enhance the façade.
The north elevation has a single-storey projection in the centre and right bays, which includes a panelled timber door and asymmetrical window arrangement on the west side. There are three irregularly placed windows to the right of centre on the first floor, along with an additional window on the outer left.
The west elevation contains a window at the centre on the ground floor. The windows throughout the house are timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar wallhead stacks with cans.
The property is also defined by its gatepiers, which are panelled, and boundary walls made of coped rubble and flat-coped brick.
