Description
258 High Street in Leslie is a single-storey, three-bay cottage that dates from the earlier to mid 19th century, and may include some earlier materials. It is part of a terraced pair and has a symmetrical design. The exterior is made of coursed whinstone rubble, with some snecked areas and sandstone ashlar margins.
On the north elevation facing High Street, there is a centrally located modern door with a plate glass fanlight, and modern windows are present in the flanking bays. The roof is covered with rubberoid slates, and features include ashlar coped skews, scrolled skewputts, and coped stacks. The cottage is adjoined to the west by No 260.
