Description
256 High Street in Leslie is a single-storey, three-bay symmetrical cottage built in the later 19th century. The building is constructed from squared and coursed whinstone with sandstone dressings, featuring a base course and long and short work ashlar quoins. It includes stone mullions with chamfered arrises and segmental-arched lintels.
On the north elevation facing High Street, there is a central door flanked by bipartite windows. The door is modern and features a panelled design with a slender segmental-arched fanlight above. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar skews and a coped dry-dashed gablehead stack on the east side, while the stack on the west side is truncated. The building also has thackstanes, a moulded eaves gutter, and a rainwater hopper.
