Old Gate To Raith Walled Garden, Raith House

The Old Gate to Raith Walled Garden is an early 19th-century square-plan classical pavilion that once served the former Raith Walled Garden. It is constructed of droved ashlar and features a cornice with mutules and a stone slab roof.

On the southeast elevation, there is a splayed, round-headed arch that is deeply chamfered, with a moulded stone pediment above it. The entrance consists of a deep-set, two-leaf panelled timber door, flanked by boundary walls.

The boundary walls are made of rendered coped rubble and are part of the former walled garden, although they have been breached in places. To the east, there are large curved and battered buttresses, and to the north, there is a segmental-headed ashlar cart entrance.
