Description
82-86 High Street in Leslie is a 17th-century, three-storey, three-bay tenement that forms part of an irregular terrace. It features a turnpike stair tower at the front and is harled with a base course and painted margins.
The north elevation facing High Street has a blank central bowed stair, with windows on each floor of the bay to the right. There is a further bay on the far right with windows on each floor, paired doors to the left, and windows on each floor of the outer left bay.
On the south elevation, there is a stone forestair to the right of centre, leading to a modern door. To the right, there is a window, and to the left, a small window with a blocked door at the far left, which likely also had a forestair originally. The second floor features a window to the left of centre and two windows to the right.
The east elevation adjoins No 80 in the irregular terrace and has a small attic window to the right in the gablehead.
The west elevation adjoins the slightly recessed No 92 and includes a semi-circular moulding at the west corner, suggesting that the former neighbour jettied at the second floor.
The building has an 8-pane glazing pattern in its sash and case windows, red pantiles with slate eaves easing course, and crowstepped, steeply-pitched gables. There is a single row of pantiles on the west gablehead, indicating the former height of the neighbouring building. Ashlar stacks are present, some with cans.
