Description

The churchyard at Elie Parish Church features a mural monument that was erected in 1635 for the Gillespies of the Muckle Yett, South Street. The monument showcases a Renaissance style, with Ionic columns that support a richly decorated baroque pediment. The original inscription on the monument has been effaced over time.
