53 High Street in Elie is a two-storey building dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It has been altered and features a pebbledashed exterior with rendered margins. The front has three windows and a central panelled door. The windows are small and have 2-pane sashes. The roof is slated, and there is a chimney stack on the right that is shared with the adjacent building at number 51.
