Description

Homestead, located at 37 High Street in Elie, is likely an 18th-century building that was altered in the 19th century. It is a two-storey structure, rendered and lined out to resemble ashlar, with painted stop-chamfered margins. The front features three windows and a central door that is taller than the windows. The ground floor windows are wider than those on the first floor. The ground floor has reglazed four-pane sash windows, while the first floor has two-pane sash windows. The roof is slated, with a skew and a stack on the right side, which is shared with the adjacent property at 35A.
