Description

3 Chapmans Place in Elie is an early 19th century single-storey row of buildings constructed from rubble with droved ashlar dressings and painted margins. The buildings numbered 3 and 9 feature a central door flanked by two windows, while number 9 has a single window range that is part of a former adjoining cottage, topped with a flat metal roof. Buildings 5 and 7 have doors located in the centre with outer bipartites. The roofs are pantiled, with stone slate casing on buildings 5 and 7. The structures have straight skews with block ends and very tall harled stacks, which may have been heightened.
