47 Kirkbank Road, Burntisland

47 Kirkbank Road in Burntisland is a lodge house dating from the mid to later 19th century. It is a single-storey building with three bays, which has been altered at the side and rear. The lodge features a piend roof with a high stack, a round-headed door, and a doorcase. The exterior is constructed of squared and snecked stone, with dressed ashlar quoins and stone cills, while the southern side is made of rubble. Notable architectural details include a base course, a continuous hoodmould stugged course, a moulded eaves cornice, and segmental headed openings.

The entrance elevation is symmetrical, featuring a panelled door at the centre flanked by windows in the adjacent bays. To the right, there is a slightly recessed single-storey lean-to extension with a window that abuts the boundary wall, and the left corner is chamfered below the hoodmould course. The windows are timber sash and case with a 4-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the ashlar stacks are coped with cans, complemented by distinctive cast-iron ivy-leaf gutter brackets.

Additionally, there is a pyramid-coped gatepier and a coped rubble boundary wall surrounding the property.
