131 Kinghorn Road, Burntisland

131 Kinghorn Road in Burntisland is a pair of semi-detached houses built in the late 19th century. They are two stories high and have two bays, featuring a platform/mansard roof with Queen Anne architectural details. The exterior is made of squared and coursed rubble, accented with rusticated ashlar quoins, ashlar margins, a base course, an eaves course, basket-arched and stop-chamfered arrises, and stone mullions.

The south elevation is symmetrical, with panelled doors and plate glass fanlights positioned to the left and right of the center. These doors are topped with ornately carved segmental pediments. The flanking bays contain canted windows, while the first-floor windows above the doors also feature segmental pediments. The outer bays have bipartite windows with regular pediments above, all of which break the eaves into the mansard roof.

The upper sashes of the timber sash and case windows have a 6-pane glazing pattern, while the lower sashes have 2 panes. The roofs are covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with some chimney cans, along with ashlar coped skews. The cast-iron downpipes are fitted with decorative rainwater hoppers and fixtures.

Additionally, there is a low saddleback-coped rubble boundary wall to the south of the property.
