Main Office Building, Carron Ironworks, Stenhouse Road, Larbert

The Main Office Building of the Carron Ironworks, located on Stenhouse Road in Larbert, was constructed between 1874 and 1875 by architect Robert Baldie. This building features a crow-step gable and retains a clock tower, showcasing elements of the Baronial style associated with the Carron Company Ironworks. The exterior is made of bull-faced, snecked sandstone, accented with moulded ashlar dressings.

Notable architectural features include a deep roll-moulded segmental-arched pend, a triple-light window above it, and a company crest with a date panel and monogram at the gable apex. The square clock turret has black and gold clock faces, a dentiled cornice, and canon-mouldings at the corners. The turret is topped with a bell-cast pyramidal roof and a weathervane finial. There are remnants of 18th century ironwork inserted into the stonework on either side of the pend. The sides and rear of the building are finished with cement render, and there are later single-storey additions flanking the original structure, added around 1992.

The windows are timber sash and case with 4-pane glazing, and the roof is covered with graded grey Scottish slate.
