Description

The Carron Railway Bridge, built around 1860 for the Carron Company, is a two-span masonry bridge featuring segmental arches. The bridge is constructed with channelled bullnosed ashlar voussoirs that have dressed margins, and the spandrels and wing walls are made of snecked rubble. The spandrels are reinforced with old rails arranged radially. The road span to the north has been removed.
