Description
Appersett Bridge is a bridge dating from the early 18th century and was widened downstream in 1795 by John Carr. It is constructed of ashlar and rubble. The bridge features a single segmental arch. The downstream side is faced with ashlar and has pilasters on either side of the arch, along with a decorative band. The abutments are made of rubble, and there is a coursed rubble parapet with saddleback coping that ends in circular bollards. The upstream side is primarily rubble, featuring a hood-mould, an ashlar band, and parapets similar to those on the downstream elevation.
