Description
Lodge House and Gate Piers at Eastwood Park in Giffnock is a single-storey gate lodge built in the mid-19th century, featuring Tudor detailing. The structure is made of ashlar and has three nearly identical gabled elevations, each with projecting or canted castellated bays that include Tudor-arched lights. There is an open porch located in the southeast re-entrant angle. The gables are finialed, and the skews are stepped at the eaves, with coped stacks and slate roofs. A timber-clad addition is located at the rear.
The gate piers, likely from the early 20th century, are made of channelled ashlar and feature tall inner piers topped with urn finials. The gates include a two-leaf carriage gate and a single-leaf pedestrian gate, with iron railings on curved low quadrants.
