Description

Built probably in 1880's. 2-storey and attic villa with Scots renaissance detailing, big conical-roofed turreted bay at

SW. Stugged ashlar with polished dressings and narrow window

margins, elaborate strapwork pediments; single, mullioned

and/or transomed windows with plate glass sashes. Bays

nearest SW turret have shaped wall-head gables, corbelled

bartizan at NW with big conical roof, west-facing canted

window with door; south-facing porch on E flank, doorway

with shaped head; wall-head stacks; broad-eaved slate roofs.

Balustraded high retaining wall to Fenwick Road; square

gatepiers.
