Description
This building is a former row of six cottages from the early to mid 19th century, consisting of two pairs and two single three-bay cottages that are now connected as one structure. The exterior features squared and snecked, stugged cream sandstone with stugged ashlar dressings and raised cills, although some have been replaced with concrete. The doors are flanked by windows, with some enlarged to bipartites that include timber mullions. There are two recessed and lower modern linking corridors with bipartites. The windows are sash and case style with a 12-pane glazing pattern. At the rear, there are modern harled additions. The roof is covered with red pantiles and has ashlar coped skews and coped stacks. Coach lamps are present, and there is a rubble sandstone retaining border along the road.
