Description
A row of two mid-to-late 19th century farm cottages, standing two storeys high and two bays wide. The cottages are constructed of random rubble with painted margins. Each cottage has a door set within its outer bay, framed by a brick relieving arch. The ground floor features windows centrally, while the first floor has four windows, each topped by a tile-hung, gabled dormer that breaks the eaves; a further window is present in each gable. Lean-to additions extend from the rear ground floor. Sash windows with two or four panes of glazing are found on the ground floor, while the first floor windows have lying-pane glazing. The roof is covered with red pantiles and features a central brick ridge stack. The cottages are shown on the Ordnance Survey map of Haddingtonshire from 1854.
