Description

The sundial at Lennoxlove, dated 1679, is located in a 20th century formal garden to the east of the main house. It is a carved stone sundial designed in the form of a caryatid, depicting a young woman in formal dress holding a fan and a rose. The sundial stands on an octagonal stepped plinth and supports a multi-faceted block that features 17 dials and cups, with copper gnomons.
