North Port Lennoxlove

North Lodge at Lennoxlove is a mid-18th century structure featuring an imposing plain classical arch, which connects to a small lodge house likely built in the later 19th century.

The north port consists of a tall gateway with an outward-facing round arch made of dressed grey sandstone. This arch has a raised margin that creates a vertical separation from the flanking sandstone rubble, which may have been previously harled. The inward face is entirely constructed of rubble with a recessed segmental arch. The outer face is topped with two ashlar courses that have a flat coping sloping down to the inward side. The elaborately decorated ornamental iron gates are a later replacement for earlier gates or wooden doors. A rubble wall, which curves gently and has a flat coping, connects the gateway to the North Lodge and incorporates a doorway.

The North Lodge itself is a single-storey cottage with three bays, built mainly of random sandstone rubble. The dressings are generally broached and droved in sandstone, with some made from a rougher "clinkstone" conglomerate. The front elevation features a central door that is plain boarded and has a tripartite toplight, symmetrically flanked by two windows. The south elevation has a single window and a glazed doorway that is offset to the west. Each end elevation contains a centrally placed window. There is a flat-roofed extension to the west made from the same materials. The building has a piended roof covered in graded grey slate, with a central ashlar stack that has two plain cans.
