Description

The North Berwick Drinking Water Tank, built in 1905, is an octagonal structure located on a hill above the burgh. The tank features a brick base course and is topped with an octagonal slate roof that sweeps close to the ground, complete with an apex ventilator. There are gabled porches on opposite roof pitches, which have slated roofs that rise significantly above the low eaves. Inside, the tank is constructed of brick and has a steel trussed framework that supports the roof. The roof was added around 1911.
