Rhodes

Rhodes is a 2-storey farmhouse that features an early 19th century building with a piend roof to the south, which is connected to an 18th century gabled block that has two lower gabled wings extending at right angles to the north. The exterior is harled with grey ashlar dressings and painted margins.

The southeast elevation is symmetrical with three bays. It has a projecting porch at the ground level, which includes a segmentally arched window and a blocking course. The door is located on the west side and features a consoled pediment with a carved simple shield above a panelled door. There are two windows flanking the porch and three windows on the first floor.

On the west elevation, there is a full-height canted three-light ashlar window that has been added to the return elevation of the later house, alongside two bays belonging to the recessed earlier building.

The north elevation displays various gabled or piend-roofed extensions, with a central section that is likely from the 18th century. The building features a 12-pane glazing pattern throughout, with ashlar coped skews. There are end and gable head stacks, with two later stacks raised in brick. The main house has slated roofs, while the northern cottages have concrete pantiles.

The gatepiers and boundary walls consist of square, pyramid-coped gatepiers at the west and south driveways, with quadrant walls to the south and rubble boundary walls surrounding the property.
