Description
Drem Cottage, along with its adjacent pair, represents a mid-19th century T-plan farm cottage grouping. The cottages are constructed from roughly squared and snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. Each cottage is L-shaped, with the entrance and a window positioned at the angle, and a window facing the south gable. Additions have been made to the rear of the buildings. They feature sash and case windows with four-pane glazing. The roofs are covered in red pantiles, with straight skews and ashlar coped end and ridge stacks. The cottages are shown on the Ordnance Survey map of Haddingtonshire from 1854. Statutory addresses include DREM, DREM FARM COTTAGES, WOOD LANE COTTAGE, WOODWELL, GARVE.
