Description
Redshill is an earlier 19th century, two-storey L-plan farmhouse that includes an additional single-storey service wing. The building is constructed from stugged red rubble sandstone, featuring stugged grey ashlar dressings and droved borders.
The east elevation has three bays, with the outer bay on the right being gabled and advanced. There is a door at the centre, positioned close to the re-entrant angle, topped by a small-pane horizontal fanlight. Tall windows are located in the flanking bays, while smaller windows are found in each bay at the first floor.
The north elevation is blank and includes a lean-to timber garage. The south elevation features a ground floor window at the centre. The gabled service wing projects from the west elevation on the right and has a doorway on the south elevation.
The sash and case windows have a 12-pane glazing pattern. The building has corniced stacks and is topped with purple and grey slates, which are laid to deeply overhanging eaves supported by wrought-iron ties.
