Description

Earlier 18th century 2-storey farmhouse with additions to S and E, later in the century. L-plan with single storey service buildings (probably also 18th century) adjoined. Rubble, harled with painted ashlar margins.

W ELEVATION: original farmhouse of 3 bays grouped towards centre, given addition of 2 full-height irregular bays to S and doorway moved to subsquent centre bay; windows in remaining bays, enlarged at ground and 1 inserted on S return elevation.

E ELEVATION: gabled jamb projecting from original farmhouse, to right with single storey outbuilding abutting at ground to E and lean-to S by re-entrant angle; 1st floor window in later bays to left. Gabled outbuilding adjoined to N elevation to left. 12-pane and 4-pane glazing patterns in sash and case windows. Grey slates and brown tiles to 2-storey blocks, red pantiles to single storey outbuildings. End stacks; decorative, barley sugar cans retained.
