7 High Street, Belhaven, Dunbar

This building at 7 High Street, Belhaven, Dunbar, dates from the mid-18th century and is a single-storey house with a deep basement and attic. It features a symmetrical three-bay design, constructed of random rubble with painted, raised ashlar margins.

The front elevation includes a doorway that is accessed by a flight of steps leading to an oversailing recess. Wrought-iron railings extend along the front. To the right of the doorway is a segmentally arched pend. There are two splayed, canted, three-light dormers from the 19th century that are slate-hung, along with additional dormers at the rear. The building showcases a variety of glazing patterns and has a slate roof with plain raised skews. Mutual gable stacks are raised in brick.
