Description
Biel Mill Lodge is a single-storey, rectangular-plan gabled cottage built around 1840, featuring a likely later piend-roofed addition to the north. The building is constructed of stugged pink sandstone with ashlar dressings, and it has base and eaves courses along with chamfered reveals.
The cottage has timber mullioned tripartite windows, with one window located off-centre to the right of the south elevation and one on each of the end gables, which include arrow-slits in the apex. The north addition has a piend roof. The sash and case windows have a horizontal-pane glazing pattern, while the west window features diamond-pane glazing. The roof is covered with purple slates, and the gablet has coped parapets with skewputts.
