Description

16th century. Wellhead in circular section with conical

roof. Squared and coursed cream sandstone rubble. 5'

4" high. Entrance on N side, 4' 2" high; well currently

(1989) filled. Stone roof of overlapping blocks,

overhanging at eaves; finial comprised of rope-moulded

neck, short shaft and rosette carving; top feature

missing. Wrought-iron curved gate.

RETAINING WALL: rubble coped rubble segmental wall.
