Description

Mid 18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse. Roughly squared

pink sandstone rubble with broad droving to quoins.

S ELEVATION: 3 bays spaced widely. Doorway at centre,

panelled door; window above and to each floor of outer

bays, 2 retaining original size.

N ELEVATION: irregular openings; door at centre.

E AND W ELEVATIONS: both gables with square, blocked

attic windows; later window at ground to E, original

windows to each floor to W, and flat-roofed single storey,

stone porch projecting.

Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slates. Ashlar

coped skews. Gable end stacks.

RETAINING WALLS AND PIERS: coped rubble retaining walls

and quadrants to S; ashlar polygonal gatepiers with

pyramidal caps.
